This Classic Salt Box was transformed by changing the color to fit the landscape
and correcting an inappropriate roofline on an addition.
Once the Master Bedroom, this room was returned to its original function as the Parlor.
Windows were replaced with 12 over 12 lights and feather-edged panelling was added. The pink
wallpaper was removed, the walls replastered with a subtly uneven finish, and the panelling was painted
a turquoise color which was discovered after scraping down through several layers of paint on the mantel.
A good example of reinvention, the Keeping Room was opened up to the new Kitchen
which is perennially the heart of a home and integral to its living space.
